"Strawberries"

8x8" oil on masonite - sold
Studio Gallery, San Francisco

I've received a few emails asking about the natural wood floaters I've been building so I decided to post a video, you can check it by clicking on the link below.

Beautiful shadows and contrast. Previous toaster painting reminiscent of airstream reflections, makes me want a shiny metal toaster to try painting!

Thanks for the frame video. Question: the first small frame was made with a solid back of practical board that you glued lattice strips to. The second frame appeared to be empty in the middle, the one with the foam tape, how do you make this frame?

Wonderful work and very helpful info, thank you so much for putting this out and sharing.

Great painting. Wish I'd painted it! Love the depth of shadows on the strawberries. Great composition, beautiful blue shadows on the table, luscious brushstrokes. Yum!

Thanks for the comments!

Barbara, the larger frame you saw was made by mitering together pieces of 1x1.5" wood. I then glue the lattice to the sides just as I do when I use particle board. Hope that helps!
