"The Preacher's House"

8x10" oil on canvas panel

The white house is the preacher's house, I heard his kids singing gospel songs as they mowed the lawn. This is another from Port Clyde, Maine.

Nice catching up with your blog. Loving your style. Such great light, color and simplified beauty. And some!
Hope you are recovering from the drilling injury. Glad you are painting lots.
The composition in this piece is so great. The title caught my eye too. I am a preacher's daughter but you would not have found me singing gospel OR mowing the lawn. As a teenager anyway.

Thanks for the kind words Carol! I'm having fun with these 8x10s. My arm is feeling better, but it'd be better still if I stayed home and painted for a month!
