Another from behind the wheel.
I've always been attracted to art that reflects a unique and personal view of the world. "The Complete Watercolors of Edward Hopper" was my introduction to this kind of work. I love visiting the pages of that collection, it's like a mini vacation. By staying true to himself and trusting his instinct he's created a unified body of work, one with the ability to transport.
Andrew Wyeth and Van Gogh have also created worlds I like to visit. I'd be curious to know whose work transports you.

I greatly admire the paintings of David Levine, New York painter. He also drew caricatures of famous people, but his paintings are what transport me.
Your lines and brush strokes are just so simple and beautiful. Van Gogh is my favorite artist.
I'm really enjoying this one. It has a great feeling of light and open space, plus the drama in the frozen moment of the left turn.
I love the mood and atmosphere of this one. It reminds me a little of some of the images of Stephen Shore (photographer). Often times his images have a somewhat desolate feeling to them which I think is beautiful. Nice work!
I am inspired from the thick brush strokes of Wayne Theibaud. And this reminds me of some of his still lifes. Love it.
