"Pink Barrette"

This is my entry to the "Simplify Cute Challenge", it was painted from an image posted by Carol Marine. The challenge for me wasn't the background, it was the little girl. I find painting faces the ultimate challenge, especially when trying to keep the brushwork lively and spontaneous.

I love this. The brush strokes are wonderfully subtle but visible. I love the colors you used for skin tones and shadows.
