"Reflected Rowboat" - SOLD

7x5" oil on masonite

I'm in frame production mode. I'm making natural wood floater frames for my 6x6" daily paintings for an upcoming show. I've looked online but can't find anything I like at a reasonable price. Anyone have a favorite frame source?

I know painters who are happy with Franken Frames. I make most of mine as you are doing now.Your blog has been looking great Mike.

Michael I found a good craftsman at Etsy. He is Art City Frames. There aren't floaters though. For those I use King of Frames in CA.

Most floater frames are for stretched canvas (see also Jerry's who do a new 'natural' floater frame finish). I've read that for paintings on panels you have to glue it on to wood batons that you can then screw in from the back - that way the painting won't be inset. But I haven't tried it yet...

Love the boat painting - so simple and lovely - and so excited about buying one of your paintings today!

Mike, I use Franken Frames. I love them. Photos of framed panels are shown on my blog, on posts from 10/12/10, and 3/18/10. If you are interested, take a look. Hope this helps.
