"Country Road" - SOLD

5x7" oil on masonite

This is my submission to the DPW Challenge for the week. I had a lot of fun painting it and now I want it to find a good home. It was done from a photograph of a German road posted by Carol Marine, but it actually looks a lot like some of the roads we have here in coastal California.

Beautiful simplicity. The red buildings are brilliant, Michael!

I love this too and love seeing how everyone has handled this challenge. Great colors and you are right about the similarities in some of the California roads.

I really like your version of this challenge, Mike. Gorgeous sunshine on the hill, and adding the red building really makes the scene. Good job!

Very nice. There is nothing like a country road.
