"Sea Spray, China Camp"

6x6" oil on Gessobord

This is an old shrimp fishing boat dry docked at China Camp on San Francisco Bay. It's got a few large holes in it so I doubt it will be back in the water anytime soon! China Camp is a beautiful spot about 45 minutes north of San Francisco.

Once again youve got some nice shadows that really reveal the shape of the boat. I just finished a three day workshop with Jill Carver. Shre recomended looking at a photo of your subject and painting in black and whie to really check your paintings values. It really helped me. Values are something I still need to work on.

I love this Mike! Great angle on the boat and it looks hard to me to paint all the curves and lines. But you handled it just fine!

Another beautifully simple painting. Love your pallet and the clean color.
