"Oranges" - SOLD

When I first started painting I was primarily inspired by landscapes. One exciting difference I'm noticing with still life is the opportunity to explore saturated color. These oranges were just so.....orange!

I have just started painting (again, painted in high school!) and I am the same way. Was just inspired by landscapes but am now developing a love of still life. Great job on the oranges! I want to give them a try sometimes since I don't usually us a lot of ORANGE In landscapes!

Great job, Michael! Wonderful brushstrokes, and I just love the vibrant orange, contrasted by the soft blue background. It looks like you're off to a fantastic start!

I love the color in this painting. It seems to be just the right orange to make your mouth water.

Thanks so much for all the kind comments! I'm still trying to figure out how to set up subscriptions to my blog. Hopefully I'll have it figured out in a day or two.
